The View from Both Sides of the Stethoscope: From Provider to Patient

  F or years, my identity was entirely wrapped up in the fast-paced, high-stakes world of clinical medicine. I was driven, ambitious, and academically relentless. I pushed myself through intense schooling, completely immersed in anatomy, pharmacology, and clinical rotations, ultimately graduating from graduate school as a Nurse Practitioner at just 23 years old. I stepped into the healthcare system ready to heal, diagnose, and care for others, carrying the immense pride of a hard-earned career ahead of me.
